Finnigan's Return?

Yes, I've seen it.

A top secret, unedited version of a scene from the upcoming prequel.
It went like this:

After dimming the lights in a former Desilu screening hall, an insider
guy started the projector for a small group of internet/reporter
types. Out of the darkness, we see the outlines of the Cal Northridge
campus, now fully transformed into a Starfleet Academy (built some
time after the events of the Enterprise series) which is enshrouded in
night.

Scattered, futuristic poles cast small circles of sparkly light in the
large courtyard. I must say, the effects in this part are truly next-
generation stuff. It's so foggy, and so dim, that it's just like
standing near the San Francisco waterfront in the midst of dense pea
soup.

Your hit of Ecstasy should wear off in a few more hours.

Some "spoilers" get believed by huge numbers of people.

Others do not.

Obviously, the SHORE LEAVE character Finnigan, Kirk's old Irish buddy/
foe from the academy, isn't really expected to make an appearance in
Star Trek XI.
