Of course it was bright and colorful. The sixties style was bright
colors. Also, 1966 was the first year all primtime programming was in
color and series wanted to show it. Hence, lots of reds, blues and
greens.
We're used to colors now (even more for movies). We don't need to see
all the reds and blues. Grays are OK too.
