The Hegemonic Factor - Part 1

Jean-Luc Picard turned the screen slightly on his desk and shook his
head. “Incredible,” he mumbled to himself. For several moments he
continued, lost in the report about the starship Voyager until the door
chimed. “Come,” he said.

Riker strolled into the room with a smile on his face. The smile was
something that Picard was becoming accustomed to seeing since his first
officer and counselor were spending more time together. “Have you read
the latest reports concerning the Voyager, sir?”

“Yes, Number One. In fact, I was just finishing up the reports. They
had an incredible voyage on that ship.”

“No pun intended sir?” Riker continued to smile.

“Hmm.” Picard looked confused, but only for a moment. “Oh, no. No pun
intended. They brought back Borg Technology and even have a Borg as a
crewmember on the ship. It is incredible.”

I have the STARTREK The Next Generation USS ENTERPRISE NCC 1701-D
BLUEPRINTS. I want to digitize (scan) them but they are so big and I would
need a E-SIZE scanner. Does anyone have high res scan copies of these I can
download.

  Greater than the Sum (Spoiler)

“Greater than the Sum” has been announced as the lead-in to the probably
biggest Trek literature event so far, the “Destiny” series as well as
numerous related books. That alone made me very curious from early on.
But I was also curious how the author would deal with the aftermath of
previous books, especially of “Before Dishonor”. A lead-in book into a
big event has to provide the basics on which such a story event can
build and what happened in “Before Dishonor” didn`t make that an easy task.

I think Christopher L. Bennett did the best that was possible although
it was not always convincing to me. A lot of it smelled of damage
control and finding excuses. It worked best in the case of Kadohata...

  Fearful Symmetry (Spoiler)

After I was left with a multiple Kira storyline and confused about which
Iliana Ghemor is which after “Warpath”, for the first time I wasn`t
looking forward to the next DS9 Relaunch book because I learned before
getting it that “Fearful Symmetry” is indeed mainly following part of
the multiple Kira story, namely the Iliana Ghemor confusion.

To my big surprise, I enjoyed the book from the beginning and now that I
have finished it I must say, it is excellent. I was very close to skip
the book but now I am very glad that I gave it the chance...

  Stone and Anvil book/CD-Rom question

Author: Nyssa
Date: Jun 30, 2008 10:50

I've got the paperback version of Stone and
Anvil, and managed to snag a hardback copy
via paperbackswap.com.

The sender noted that the cover says the
hardback comes with a CD-ROM, but since
she got the book second-hand, it did not
have the CD with it. She was just giving
me a friendly heads-up before she mailed
me the book.

My question is: was the CD-ROM (16 New
Frontier "adventures") audio or text?
And do these "adventures" appear anywhere
else, as in another NF book?

TIA.

Nyssa, who has a stack of NF books to read
but there's always room for one more
