...... that I was the editor of some newspaper and ran a column on
the New Yorker mag's controversial cartoon on the cover supposedly
satirizing Barack and Michelle.
I was so proud when the paper hit the stands and my headline:
New Yorker [ Jonathan ] Swift-boats Barack.
In the morning I remembered it but couldn't recall if I had read it somewhere
or it was a product of my dream. Kind of a cool take on it either way.
Anyone read anything along these lines ?
Jim

That WAS one hell of a finish! Damn I wish I was back at good ole Taylor
Field, I refuse to call it by any other name, I mean, why mess with a good

... that's the CFL for ya.
The Sask fans, the stadium, and the great fun brought me back to
the pre-punk days in good old Empire. A fun time, win or lose, in a
great atmosphere.
Never been the same and will never be duplicated in the 200 kabillion
tax payer dollar stadium with a hole in the roof.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Another odd little quiz that popped up in my email. It only half worked
for me, but it might be interesting to see how it works in a larger group
such as this:
***************************************************************************
At the end of this message, you are asked a question.
Answer it immediately. Don't stop and think about it.
Just say the first thing that pops into your mind.
This is a fun 'test'... AND kind of spooky at the same time! Give it a try,
then e-mail it around and you'll see how many people you know fall into the
same percentage as you. Be sure to put in the subject line if you are among
the 98%% or the 2%%. You'll understand what that means after you finish
taking the test'.
Now... just follow the instructions as quickly as possible.
Do not go to the next calculation before you have finished the previous
one..
You do not ever need to write or remember the answers, just do it using
your mind.
You'll be surprised.

Wow! The weird thing is that I was very sleepy, I had to work through the
math and then afterwards nothing came to mind. So I stopped and went
"Black... wait, black is not a colour... red... hammer"
And before I read the answer I kind of figured that my hesitation and
indecision had ruined it.

I was going to post this elsewhere...... but why bother.
Everything I've learned about life (and some strange sexual habits) I've
learned from this NG.
I will be in the Los Angeles area (Santa Ana) for five days at the end
of July.
I'm looking for suggestions for "don't miss" things to do.
I'm not interested in Mickey and his world.
I know I want to spend a day at Venice Beach but that's all the plans I
have beside the wedding I'm there to attend.
Thanks in advance.
Your humble servant,
Professor
