This guy was more heart and soul Canadian than most people who have
obits in the globe.

"In 1971, he purchased his own boat, a seiner named the Invercan III,
and began a career as an independent fisherman who commanded top
prices for his product. With justification, he renamed the boat
Prosperity. (Two subsequent vessels bore the same name.)

"I've had a couple of million-dollar days," Mr. Wright told Ms.
Armitage. "One day in Barkley Sound we had 525 tons of herring in the
net. It took us two days to pump the fish out. My other boat netted
160 tons. I sold them all at the average price of over $3,000 a ton. I
made over $2-million that day."

In the mid-1970s, he married Linda Pickton, the daughter of a farmer
in Coquitlam, B.C., and had two sons, Brendan and Kevan."

.....

"One morning they were having breakfast with a group of his boyhood
friends that included three sisters.

Mentioned it in the room, but I wonder if he has any idea how he made that
kids' night by giving him his goalie stick! Just fantastic to see that kid
beam and how unanticipated it was! Kudos to the folks around for giving the
kid the stick too! Stuff like that makes me proud Luongo's ours!

okay.... now thats I git yer attention:

Have a vexing problem with my HTPC- I'm trying to use the analog outputs of
my Auzentech X-Plosion sound card into my receiver. I've upgraded the
op-amps as recommended by the mfr to squeeze even more improvements.
Problem is- I am getting this high-pitched soft pulsing background noise
from my speakers. I've disconnected all the cables one-by-one and it is
definitely the analog connection to the receiver that does it. If I remove
the cables and go with a toslink out- the problem goes away. This would be
okay but dammit, I want analog out!

I've googled like a madman but haven't found a solution.

WELL?????!!??

(oh yeah, thanks for any help)

  GREAT shot Cherry........

I've ranted since the beginning of the year how much I hate the direction
HNIC has taken this year under their new head honcho. They gave Mclean
a billion dollar contract and tried to turn it into the Ron Mclean Pre-Game
Show, the Ron Mclean Corner, the Ron Mclean Coaching Seminar, the Ron
Mclean sits around with some ex-players and pretends he knows wtf he's
talking about. [ fortunately that last one bombed and they've gone back to
a more traditional Hot Stove with sports reporters, not western mind you ].

So for those who didn't see tonight's coaches corner, or perhaps didn't pick
up on Cherry's crack... they were talking about Emery. Cherry was explaining
how last year in the playoffs, the Sens had to ignore his bs antics lest he
quit on the team and it would have screwed up their playoff chances, but then
he signs a big contract in the off season, and Cherry turns to Mclean and
says, you know how a big contract can go to your head. lol. Love it.

The pricks at CBC have been trying to sanitize the broadcast and get rid of
Cherry and his non-pc remarks. The fact the tv ratings go UP during Coaches
Corner means dick when you are on mission of social engineering.

Fuck 'em all Don, especially the little prick next to you who _you_ made.

There is one and only one logical reasoning for this: They are too lazy to
get the real criminals :)

Topless Woman Lured Perverts in Police Sting
Firefighter Busted for Exposing Himself to Sunbather Appeals
'Entrapment' Conviction
By MARCUS BARAM

Dec. 28, 2007 ?

Robin Garrison, an off-duty 42-year-old firefighter, was walking in
Berliner Park in Columbus, Ohio, in May when he saw a woman sunbathing
topless under a tree.

He approached her and they started talking and getting comfortable, the
woman smiling and resting her foot on his shoulder at one point.
