As an Oiler fan living in Vancouver, could you please give me a reason to
keep the faith.

It's no that I mind flying to Edmonton, buying tickets, and staying at the
hotel 4 times a season. I just mind paying all that money to watch you have
your asses handed to you by the Canucks of all teams.

Let's get it together for 2007 please.

yes - but spending to much time practicing / honing it

37 is the issue ! I dunno about 'over_paid' ...... that's a relative thing
amidst the absurdity of professional sport payrol in general.

HEY !!! I'm from one of the aforementioned places ........ and I take great
offence (a phrase perhaps not terribly suited for Oil_talk these days
LMARO ) when transplanted Ontarioans make such feeble attempts to tarnish
Newfoundland and Saskatchewan roots.

Ya' know Bucky was from Saskatchewan ........ or are you new to Oiler_Nation
??

Yeah, cal and the gang seem to be pulling out all the stops. As for hf I've
been getting a big laugh at that thread as well.

See if you like this response by me on that thread:

"It is known" X2 !?!

Why produce any links when you can just say that repeatedly. Maybe if you
say it enough...

Considering the Coliseum was built for Edmonton I'm sure the architects and
engineers considered that it possibly snows here... That load bearing
capacity HAS to be in the basic design don't ya think?

I agree. Unless Edmonton oilers is owned and operated by city
government. Oilers should not get a penny from government. If the
government doesn't know how to spend their surplus, they should start a
public forum.

About oilers,

I believe oilers lose because they need more defensive defensemen.

  The idiot masses in technicolour

Matt Millen can go 23-72 and what, a staggering one hundred fans will
do something. Wow, I'm impressed with the mind numbing abuse tolerance
level the modern sheep will absorb.

Matt, 100 of us Hate You

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-lions-fansprotest&prov=ap&type=lgns

About 100 spectators left their seats midway through the second quarter
of the Lions' 26-21 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday and called for
the firing of general manager Matt Millen as they gathered in Ford
Field's atrium.

Many of the protesters headed for the exits at halftime, where they
were greeted by stadium employees handing out "Go Lions" stickers.

Drinking and Driving is so blaise, Why not Get Nude as well.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=A0Je5S3sv5FFeSkByTCF2bYF?slug=ap-lions-assistantsuspended&prov...

Detroit Lions assistant coach Joe Cullen was suspended by the NFL for
Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears for two arrests -- one for
drunken driving and one for nude driving. He also was fined $20,000 in
addition to the one-week suspension.

  New baseball stadium did wonders

Author: HungryLion

Whatever happened to the major tennant of that new baseball stadium?
Oh they sort of picked up and left, didn't they? You gotta wonder why
anyone believes yet more blackmail will actually keep this hockey team
here. The deluded just can't come to grips with geographic reality:
its cold and its northern...a shiny new stadium aint gonna change that.

And trouble is around the corner: Philadelphia is already in the tank,
Toranny is one Mats Sundin leaving from total collapse, and there is
more fossil fuel on the roster of the Detroit Red Wings than all of
their auto's at any single moment in time. Combine that with the
commish's laughable and completely hopeless major TV deal that will
never happen, a 30 team watered down garbage figure skating product
that the US fan is slowly tuning out and something is gonna give
eventually. The Toranny's and Philadelphias just aren't gonna sit
there with losing teams. This isnt' the NFL.

Can you say SUPERLEAGUE?

Is anyone so crazy that they believe the Edmonton Oilers will be part
of it?
