specifically, in my immediate case, an Edmonton Oiler hockey newsgroup. I
could give a rats ass if you arrived in Canada in 1980 with a cricket
wicket, a linen toque, or a last name that ends in ...SKI, ... there is
nothing being rammed down your throat. Wayne Gretzky is far more pertinent
to these newsgroup than is any "NEW Canada" or "NEW Canadian", concept.

While I'll agree that the petition site is complete and utter bullshit (both
conceptually and imaginatively), don't be comin' around here tellin' us that
the new, motley Canada is more important than Wayne Gretzky (speaking of
last names that end in ski ........ Hmmmmmmmm, ....)

Just thank your lucky stars that the proposed testing doesn't include Don
Cherry and / or his tailor.
