  My night...

So I was at work and some of the guys were listening to the game on the
radio. I came in at 2-2. Then it just started...and with every goal I
was taking more and more shit. Thank god I was able to leave early.

Look at who scored for the Leafs. It looks like a preseason game.

I know we are going to kick around a lot of theories and there are many
whipping boys...but here is my edict.

As long as Wayne fucking Primeau is playing on the PP...I am going to
hold Lewis as public enemy number 1. What kind of fucking moron would
put this plug on the ice, let alone on the fucking PP???

Damn you Mike O'Connell for ever bringing this plug into my life.

In the 30 some odd years Harry was in charge, how many times did the
Bruins give up
double figures on home ice?

  Some coaching would be nice

It seems that most teams have figured out how to play the Bruins.
Forecheck them hard and pinch the D. The Bruins can't seem to counter
this and Lewis better come with a plan that his charges can execute or
they will drop out of the playoff race quickly.

It's not about the personell, it's not about the skill level. This
group has shown that they can compete with most teams - The special
teams show that they have the skillsets and Thomas has given them more
than competitive goaltending.

So what is the problem? - they cannot adjust to changing tactics.
This is either a coaching issue or the players are not learning/buying
in.

Just throwing the same sets of guys over the boards isn't going to do
it for Lewis.

They are getting out-coached big-time.

This is probably the worst game I have seen in quite a while.

  What's happening tonight

I was sure the B's would come out flying tonight and take it to the
Leafs after their last meeting. It is now 8-2 and Thomas has just been
pulled. What the hell are our star players doing? I am so glad I am not
able to watch this game.

enough talking about primeau, donovan et al.Where the $(*&^%% has been
bergeron,Boyes,Savard,Chara,Murray in the last 3 games, their "best
players"? Boyes the softest player, gave up on the check on both 2 and 3
goals,Chara looks lost,Bergeron trying to be too fancy. Thomas awful on the
rebounds.Thomas is a good story but not a first stringer, 25-30 games max

Major surgery needed here or the season is done.

Communications with Security Service Tribunal in 1999

I took some more potshots at the SS-Tribunal in the first half of 1999. The correspondence between myself and the Tribunal
Secretary is detailed on this webpage. Ultimately I decided not to pursue another complaint with them, partly from Robin
Ramsay's advice (and that of a solicitor I consulted), but mostly because it was rather obvious from Mr Brooks' replies
that the Tribunal has no investigative means of its own and is that useless animal, a toothless watchdog.

Included with this first letter was a copy of the leaflet, "Complaints about the Security Service". This tells you that
the Tribunal can order "the service to end its inquiries about you; the service to destroy any records it holds about
those inquiries; the quashing of a property warrant; financial compensation". Yeah, right. Look, there's a flying pig, oink-flap, oink-flap.

My subsequent letter to Nick Brooks, Tribunal Secretary, dated 25 March 1999, said;

Dear Mr Brooks,

We spoke on the phone last week and you kindly sent a copy of the form,
"Complaints about the Security Service".

I have a few questions which I should like to ask you, before I undertake the task of
making a formal complaint. As you know I made a complaint in February 1997, and in June
of that year the tribunal made a bland and unsatisfactory statement that "no determination in
your favour has been made on your complaint". During our phone conversation I expressed
the view that the Tribunal was incapable of performing its functions and acts as a
whitewashing body for the Security Service. My questions are as follows;

According to KPD practice has been:

Marco Sturm-Patrice Bergeron-Brad Boyes
P.J. Axelsson-Marc Savard-Glen Murray
Petr Tenkrat-Mark Mowers-Stanislav Chistov
Yan Stastny-Wayne Primeau-Shean Donovan

Does this mean the hapless Primeau and Donovan are finally where they should
have been long ago, on the 4th line or does KPD have it wrong and Primeau's
is the 3rd and Mowers the 4th? Lewis seems to love playing his worst +/-
guys for tons of ice time and special teams so it's hard to see P and D
getting less than Tenkrat and Chistov.

Stephen Harris (Herald) has called for trade help immediately, especially
the need for two defensemen. He can only be talking about replacing Mara and
York who just keep helping the other teams get 35 + shots per game on
Thomas.

On a good note: Phil Kessel is back skating with the team. Amazing.

Eye Say, and Lord Gnome Answers

My interactions with Private Eye started in May 1995, shortly after I'd started bleating on usenet. I tried to get the Eye
interested in my case, as I thought they more than anyone have their finger on the pulse, and would surely already know
something about my case. In my first email to them, entitled "pas de bouteille?" (wot no bottle?), I asked if they had the
nerve to publish what was known to many thousands of people. Their email flunky answered;

Bottle? Dunno really - but I've passed your mail on to the Ed for his
consideration.
