Excerpt:
At the NFL's summer meetings on May 20
in Atlanta, a contingent led by Texans owner
Bob McNair will find out if Houston is get-
ting the 2012 Super Bowl for Reliant Stadium.

petition.

Indy is probably the favorite, but we'll know who gets it Tuesday.
Indianapolis is keeping a lid on the plans for competitive reasons
until after the vote, but they've got plans to take advantage of their
unique downtown situation, with the intention to create a vibrant
Super Bowl Village atmosphere that wouldn't be possible in most any
other city.
Visitors to Indy's many sporting events often claim they like that
everything is close together downtown within walking distance.
Indianapolis' planned downtown includes most everything a visitor
would want to do while in town, including it's major sporting stadiums
- Lucas Oil Stadium, Conseco Fieldhouse for basketball, and Victory
Field for baseball - the Convention Center, numerous hotels and
restaurants, a large urban shopping mall, sports fan apparel shops,
the NCAA's Hall of Champions Museum and other museums, a terrific zoo,
White River State Park, which includes an outdoor ampitheatre, the
scenic Downtown Canal, nearby cultural entertainment districts, and
more.
