Given the Rams aren't mathematically eliminated, the site is flawed in
saying there are no scenarios found in which the Rams make the
playoffs. The site knows the chance is not an absolute zero, but
should be able to spell out the combination of what has to happen, e.g.
"Rams win final two games, Carolina finishes with losing record, 49ers
finish with losing record, Packers finish 8-8, etc".
Two years ago the Rams were also 6-8, but our playoff hopes were a lot
better, as Marc Bulger was scheduled to return from injury, the Eagles
had clinched their home field advantage, and the Seahawks and Vikings
didn't have great records. Rams won the final two games (the finale
against the Jets in spectacular fashion), and we got a fine victory
over the Seahawks in the postseason and about a quarter of hope in the
next playoff game in Atlanta.
