Singletary on John Wooden’s lessons, Nate Davis’ progress and the

Making this fast because I also talked to Vernon Davis and I’ll get
through that tape in a bit…

Today was another 49ers OTA day–leading up to the mandatory mini-camp
two weekends from now, which is the last we’ll see the 49ers on the
field until training camp.

There wasn’t a ton of wide-open 11 on 11 work, with a big
concentration on the offense playing backed up against its own goal
line. Not the most scintillating stuff.

Oh, and the 49ers made a ceremonial trade–Isaac Bruce to the Rams so
he can retire as a STL-er.

Frank Gore was the only unexpected absense, due to a travel issue.

-Intro: I guess the first thing that I want to say is concerning John
Wooden yesterday… He’s a man to me, in this field of coaching, that
deserves all the credit in the world.
