OT: Football Cards

I was in the Gray Area alot in the past few weeks. While at a Wal-Mart
checkout line I spied some football cards hanging on a rack. They had team
sets of the 49ers and Raiders. I bought a team set of the 49ers for $4.97
plus tax. Thought the kid might enjoy them. Turned out to be 10 cards.
What do you do with a 2006 49er Barlow card?? Thinking back to my youthful
days of baseball cards, I thought that was pretty pricey (no gum even), but
what the hell, I share an office with a Seahawks fan and anything to torment
him is a good deal. The thought of a Frank Gore card slipped into his top
drawer or taped to his computer was all it took for me to buy the cards.

Anyhow there is a Trent Dilfer card in the set. "Trent" was wearing #7 and
looking a lot like Ken Dorsey. Major mistake by TOPPS as it is Ken Dorsey
on the Dilfer card. This card could be worth literally $4 or $5 bucks a few
years from now. Get signatures on the card from Ken and Trent and the card
could be worth $20. Skep, you gotta go get some as an investment and they
are something you could sell on this newsgroup down the road.
