Playoff talk is heating up. There are a few teams you figure to be
locks the Colts, Bears, Ravens and Chargers but there's much to be
determined between now and the season finale.
For this week's Pick 6, I'm going to look at the three games on
Thanksgiving Day and three Sunday contests involving teams in the
playoff hunt.
San Francisco 49ers at St. Louis Rams
Right now, the San Francisco 49ers are getting it done on both sides
of the ball. They've only allowed three touchdowns and 30 combined
points during their current three-game winning streak and running back
Frank Gore has more than 400 yards of offense in the past two weeks.
Conversely, little seems to be going right for the St. Louis Rams.
They've dropped five in a row, the defense hasn't consistently played
up to the high level it performed at during the season opener against
Denver and losing left offensive tackle Orlando Pace (triceps injury)
has hurt the line. As I said last week, their issues will not be
remedied in the near future.
My pick: 49ers
