What I think is more interesting is Burleson's contract vs. D-Jack and
Engram. A lot of people have whined about him being overpaid when his
contract is heavily backloaded and he'll never see a dime of that money.
Burleson certainly hasn't been worth what we're paying him, but he's not
making the kind of cash some would like to believe.
Also interesting is, with all of Jackson's bitching about money, both his
base and cap number were significantly higher than Branch's and Burleson's.
BTW, let me know, Julie, when you're coming to town.
Hasta,
Curt Nelson

Just for fun, let's see who in the list were the ones that didn't live
upto their salaries, and the ones who exceeded their salaries in terms
of on field play.
First, the people who didn't live upto expectations:
First and foremost Shaun Alexander and his broken foot. He maybe
earned 2 or 3 of the 15 million he got, most of which came from his
signing bonus.
Floyd Womack and his 2 million, and 3 against the cap - I certainly
hope we aren't paying him anything close to that this season

If the team is winning, it doesn't matter. On the other hand......

It's easy for him to forget the first one, since the Rams beat Seattle
three times that season. They were arguably the better team.
