I think we can all agree that we have problems in
secondary. My point is that Hamlin, while not a
great cover guy, does provide "desirable" element
to our D. He brings a salty attitude and the potential
for some big hits (yes, I do remember a few this year
I suppose I could go through my collection of recordings
and itemize them, but I'm just not feelin' it at the moment.)
So with him we've got problems. Without him, we've
got MORE problems. I'm not ready to wave my hand and
say that I'm not willing to pay him top-10 safety money.
I don't know what that number is, specifically.
And frankly I could really care less what he's paid
respective to other players in the league. What I
do care about is that his contract not end up hurting
us to a degree that we can't do the
other stuff we need to do.
