That sounds like a "Pineapple Express" weather pattern. Marvelous.
West of the mountains, the "Pineapple Express" means rain and wind.
Here in southern Franklin County it means 40 mph southwest winds and
blowing dust, and rain clouds blowing overhead but not dumping their
contents till they reach the Blue Mountains :(((((((((((((((((
It's not that I hate the Pineapple Express. What I REALLY hate are
those twerp wet-behind-the-ears, born in Western Washington,
fresh-out-of-WSU communications majors posing as TV "weathercasters"
who use my hometown TV stations as a career stepping stone for Seattle
TV stations. These brilliant college boys say "the forecast says the
Pineapple Express is coming and of course that means we're going to
get RAIN RAIN RAIN! Oh yes indeed :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)"
without having CLUE ONE about the rain shadow effect. Like James in PA
might say, they probably have Dave Matthews Band stickers on the back
of their Geos.
Don't mind me folks. This is just one of my more insane pet peeve
rants.
