Like Roethlisberger, Stevens hasn't been any good since the start of
the Super Bowl.

Well waddayaknow! He just earned 2 points!
Ten more catches in a row and he's back in my good graces.

Yes, 2 for scores (TD and 2 pt. conversion) last night.
Though that doesn't absolve his virtual absence since the Super Bowl.
Errrr absence isn't really correct word, that would mean he hasn't been
noticable at all on the field.....his drops certainly have been
noticed. Can you imagine what Matt's completion %% would look like if he
had caught those sure catches, he dropped? He needs to play like the
guy who caught those 2 scores from here on out if he really expects to
remain in Seattle.
Isn't he a FA after this season or maybe next? If he keep dropping
passes or being a bone head on the field, he won't be back next season
regardless of his FA status.
If he steps it up and turns in Pro Bowl caliber performances from here
on out should he be brought back?

For the record, I'm for bringing him back. Yeah,
it'd be a bit easier to take the drops if he wasn't
flexing all the time. PR wise, Stevens is his
own worst enemy.
If it ever "clicks on" with this guy, he would
be among the top 2-3 tight ends in the league,
and I'm a sucker for talent.
And for the record, a couple of those drops were
the result of timely and large hits by defender(s).
Yeah yeah, I know...got to catch them anyway,
blah blah blah. Sometimes bad stuff happens,
and for some players it happens in streaks.
Think back to our wideout's flirtation with dropsies
a couple of years ago.

If Stevens drops a ball, it's just a dropped ball, like when Alexander
runs and gets zero yards.
The player who make the worst mistakes is Boulware. He repreatedly
goes for turnovers and then forgets to make tackles. The coaching
staff has to see this on films, and why they tolerate it is beyond me.
He makes the occasional int. or causes a fumble, but most times the
result is the opponent gets big yardage. I'll admit, maybe I'm just
not seeing how great this guy is in other respects, but tackles must be
made.

Just like Koren Robinson did? :-)
:Also, the team is kind of in a pickle regarding TE's. Mili's best days are

I'd prefer another mid-range tight end like Daniel Graham, who is also a
FA this offseason. I like Graham a hell of a lot more than Stevens right
now. Seeing him give up on that play in the end zone last night was
sickening.
