Semi-OT: Advance Warning on MNF

The celebrity guest on the upcoming MNF contest will be Jeff Gordon.
NASCAR-haters are advised to have barf bags ready.

Being a NASCAR fan myself, this won't automatically cause my gag reflex to
kick in, but on the other hand, I really hate what MNF has primarily
become....a place to shill for other ESPN/ABC programming (NASCAR moves to
ESPN next year).

I've got to say, there just isn;t anything really special about MNF any
more.

What MNF does is it frees up one or two Sunday afternoons a year for me to
do other stuff with my kids.

Yeah, there is: it's called Sunday Night Football now and it's on NBC!

As for ESPN, rather than parading these people through the booth (sometimes
more than one per game) I'd rather they just had an official, scheduled
"guest host" and got rid of the lame guy with the beard. That might be kind
of cool.
