Frustrated as usual.

We don't even belong in them with the way we are playing. Our team is a joke this year. Dreaming or not.

Don't worry. Even if the Hawks lose, which it looks like they will or should -- by midweek most fans in this NG will be thinking this team can win in Tampa Bay.
As one who totally expected a big loss today, I can only be pleasantly surprised by the fact that the Hawks are still technically in it as the 3rd quarter begins.
The defense has played well, but as the game progresses, if they live up to their normal pattern, they will give up some more big plays. And on offense, the receivers will have to cure their case of dropsies in a hurry.

Contrary to popular belief...or the popular conception held in your mind, this team *does* have it in them to win in Tampa Bay. They damn near beat what pundits are calling the best team in the NFL. But, of course, because they lost they are absolute shit in your mind.
On a day where the Chargers *don't* win by 11+ points (which they have been doing), where Shaun Alexander gets 2 rushing TDs (which he hasn't done all year) and LADAINIAN TOMLINSON DIDN'T GET ONE FUCKING TD AT ALL...you have to act like the Seahawks are utter failures.
Get over yourself.

Typically rushed four. A couple of our blitzes did better than last
week and golly gee, we rediscovered what a sack was for the first time
in three weeks -- albiet only once -- but overall, it was mostly same
ol' same ol' regarding our pass rush. I'd say we got some sort of
pressure or pocket collapse on maybe a quarter of the pass plays.

If the Seahawks were a young team trying to turn a corner it might be
considered a moral victory to lose in the last minute at home to a
tough team. As it is, however, this is simply the death knell for a
disappointing season.
I have been at a family gathering and couldn't participate in all the
newsgroup fun today, and most of the salient points have been touched
on by you and others, so I will be brief. What pissed me off...

True enough. A good effort in many ways, but as Bessette said, really
indicative of the entire 2006 season in a nutshell.
