As a corollary to "the Patriots, more than any other franchise, are
about TEAM, not individuals" you'll be hearing a couple examples by
the simpering, giggling, snickering East Coast media morons to
illustrate this, one of which will be meant as a gratuitous insult to
the Seahawks, a team which of course pales before the Greatest
Organization In All Sports:
"Adam Vinatieri wanted the big bucks, so he left the Patriots for a
big contract with the Indianapolis Colts. Look where the Patriots are
now...and look where Adam Vinatieri is now...sitting at home watching
his former team in the Super Bowl :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) "
"Deion Branch wanted the big bucks, so he forced a trade with the
Seattle Seahawks. Look where the Patriots are now, they not only are
in the Super Bowl but they have Seattle's first-round draft pick! And
look where Deion Branch is now...watching his former team in the Super
Bowl (snicker snicker smirksmirksmirk) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)"
