I feel pretty good about our chances. Sounds crazy maybe, and I felt even
better before the first Bores game, after all. Still...this time we have
SA, and even with our secondary as it is, I don't think Grossman will
change his recent ways. Dude has psyched himself out admitting to mailing
in the other performance. Now the pressure's really on :)
As for the Hawks game...I would never turn one off. Doesn't matter what's
happening.

My dream last night predicts...freezing cold temperatures and a dabble

I see two possible results: Chicago blows out Seattle or Seattle wins
by a TD or FG. If it's a close game, I think it'll work in Seattle's
favor. The pressure will be on Grossman and the Bears. It's really
important for Seattle not to be down by more than one score early. If
the Bears go up 10-0 or 14-0, it's going to be very tough.
It's exciting that Seattle is in a position to pull off a major upset.
Has Holmy been blown out in a playoff game in recent history? Not in
Seattle.

So is Hass. He sounds far more optimistic than confident. Then again,
maybe it's just that he has learned about speaking too soon... Or maybe
he's just not confident because MH doesn't seem to think he can connect on
third and seven...
Our receiving corps are so deep and talented we can afford to be without one
or two of them, on a given week. The question is whether we will use them,
early and often enough to make SA effective. If our first play from
scrimmage is SA off left tackle, for 1, it could be a long day. If we come
out aggressively, Da Bears could be in for a long day.
IOW, I'm very optimistic, IF we run and shoot. We seem to have gotten past
making extremely stupid mistakes that kill drives. This week, we need to
eliminate bone-headed play calling, and let this team play to its
capabilities.

Is anyone watching the weather? Will the front move through during the
game? If so, then high winds and plummeting temperatures means we
could see a switch from a cold rain to sleet to snow. Perhaps this
will help to equalize things a bit, making the game a tossup?

Latest long-range forecast: 50%% chance of liquid (or frozen) crap turning to
white shite. Highs in the lower 30's.
No matter how ya slice it, it ain't gonna be pretty...and foo on the notion of
it being "Bears" weather. There's no such thing.

Lately, the Seahawks have become a weather hardened team. Nothing new
for them about cold, rain or snow.

When it's nobody's weather, it's anybody's game.

Cold/wet weather should cool off whatever they call their 12th man.
I think we have the right coach in this particular situation.
