we beat them 41-17 last year and we were not nearly as scary last year as
this and the Pats were better last year then ths. They were leaning heavy
on old Seau and old Harrison.
Game is over by halftime in a shut out (If the Dolphins can do it, most HS
teams can too)

I've taken a personal interest in how Bill Belichick will find a way to
stop the Chargers' rushing attack. Especially since this year is
probably the best shot in franchise history of winning the Super Bowl.
Most of Belichick's defensive ingenuity seems to come in the form of
stopping the pass. His crowning defensive acheivement was probably the
first SB win vs. St. Louis. In that game, NE dropped 9-11 defenders
into the passing lanes. There were a lot of holes in the running game
to be exploited but the Rams' headstrong coach insisted on passing.
I don't see the Chargers falling into this trap. They are primarily a
run-first team. I think that the Chargers will start with their 1-WR
set from which they like to run a power running play to the...

Too many playmakers on the Chargers. That'll be the difference.
Home field will help and so will having a complete, healthy team. But
when two teams like this are so evenly matched you have to look at
their Superstars to figure out who's gonna win. And while the Pats have
one of the greatest in Brady, he's not enough to make up for the
magnitude of playmakers the Chargers will be bringing.
LT, Rivers, LoNeal, Gates, McNeil, Edwards, Williams, Merriman,
Phillips, Castillo, Jammer, Kaeding, Scifres, Turner, Parker,
McCardell, Igor etc... I mean, Come On!
And when it's all said and done after the game Belichick will have that
same dumbfounded look on his face that every other coach has that was
just completely dismantled by the Chargers. The look that says "I'm
speechless. We brought our A game and more and it didn't even matter.
I have no answer for it... does anybody?"
No, I'm afraid they don't.

I haven't conjured up a scare yet, but I'm thinking this might turn into
an old AFL style track meet.
Best, R.E.F.
