He doesn't need any Rings, he was one of the BEST QB's ever! BTW. How
many Rings does Marino have? He's in the same boat as Dan. Just more
proof that the Patsy trolls no not of what they speak. Sad, but true!
SB wins are a great way to get in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, they
are NOT the only criteria. There I go again, giving too much credit to
an idiot! :(

Yeah, Trent Dilfer was so much better then Marino and Fouts. I mean,
he has more rings then the 2 combined!

Seeing as I haven't had this conversation w/ you specifically, I will
inform you now. Nobody is allowed to stick ANYTHING in my mouth, words
included. Besides yummy food of course, and I'm quite capable of doing
that myself (for now). But, I will say this. On determining who the
Greats are, SB wins is not the only criteria.

The analysis conveniently ignores the fact that football is a total
team sport. Rings are a team accomplishment. When analyzing any stat,
whether it be rings, yards or whatever, the analysis must be in the
context of the team who's system the individual was playing in to have
any relevance whatsoever.

snipped out Patsy trolls obsession w/ male pubic organs, for fear that I
keep turning it on:
Yeah, nice rebuttal. Like all un-knowledgable NE sports fans, the troll
has failed (yet again) to make an argument about it's putrid Patsies.
But, has refrained to using childish remarks instead of debating the
truth. NE sports fans don't know about any other truths except for when
their teams finally win the BIg Ones. Here's to another 86 years of
waiting for a miracle to happen.

Fouts sees a winner in Rivers
By: JAY PARIS - Staff Writer
SAN DIEGO ---- Quarterback Philip Rivers makes his playoff debut Sunday,
and a certain Chargers fan predicts he'll be fine.
"He's been awfully impressive,'' former Chargers great Dan Fouts said.
"He went through a slump and he won 10 in a row? That's a pretty good
slump.''
Fouts will be watching TV from his Oregon home when the top-seeded
Chargers face the visiting New England Patriots in an AFC Divisional
playoff game. While pundits predict Patriots coach Bill Belichick will
befuddle Rivers, the first-year starting quarterback, Fouts isn't among
them.
"There are a lot of weapons Bill has to deal with,'' said Fouts, a Pro
Football Hall of Fame quarterback. "I would bet Bill is more worried
about Rivers than Rivers is about him.''

Exactly. But some guys are only capable of the surface analysis, so they go
with the "how many rings" argument.
Let's take a look at how great that argument is:
Group A (guys with rings): Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypien, Trent Dilfer, Brad
Johnson
