Willie Parker does not deserve Pro Bowl

The guy will only better. He is only in his third year of playing regularly
for a team above high school level. So he will recognize how to cut to the
inside better on some plays and hopefully, like Tiki, learn how to hold on
to the damn ball. I am happy with his potential as long as Steelers can
bring in a complementary back to take the load off of some of those short
yardage runs.

But for this season, his probowl nomination was a joke. I dont care about
all that yardage when you fumble that many times. That strip was an
embarassment. It didn't even come in a crowd.

Top three in the conference go....who has been more productive and reliable
than Willie other than the two guys going with him, LJ and LT?

Rudi Johnson? Not nearly as productive as Parker, though he was probably the
closest threat.
Willis McGahee has been hurt.
Ronnie Brown was pretty much a sophomore bust.
Fred Taylor & Corey Dillon lost too many carries to their rookie backups.
Jamal Lewis is wearing down. Lamont Jordan was horrible. Travis Henry got
his chances too late in the season to put up the stats. Same for Addai in
Indy.
Nobody consistent on the Jets, Browns, Broncos, or Texans.

So if I had to objectively vote someone into that third spot, it's still
Parker, fumbles and all. Fred Taylor would probably be the closest #4 I
could come up with, but that would be partly on career achievement, and had
they voted that way I wouldn't feel as if Parker had been sleighted.

But there's no way I put Rudi in ahead of Parker.

Willie Parker is the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL.......I'm glad he's
going. He will be there every year so they better get used to it.
