You know, I have to say that I am greatly disappointed in my fellow Steelers
brethren in this group...I used to be a avid supporter and poster to this NG
but left it a couple years ago due to all the bullshit that was going on.
Bickering, name calling, racism, homophobia. et. al. ...
It appears that some things never change! Yesterday afternoon, I thought I
would once again dip my toes in the waters of the Steelers NG to see what
the reaction to Tomlin being hired and what people thought the prospects
would be on him switching from the 3-4 that we love to the 4-3 that he
loves, and what do I find? The same crap! People bitching about the
Steelers hiring a "******" as the head coach while others voicing that they
were giving up on the NFL because of this and that two black head coaches
had taken their teams to the Super Bowl for the first time and on the same
day.
I must say that I am embarrassed for all of you and must ask just WTF your
issue is? I don't give a rat's ass what color the coach is as long as he
wins and neither should any of you! If Tomlin doesn't...

Bill, if you haven't been in the group in a while, you may not know it's
been infested with trolls (the price of a Super Bowl victory ;-). Sometimes
these trolls like to "borrow" the handles of regular posters and spew stuff
to rile us up. I think you may be referring to a post by "Mr. Brian
Allen" -- and that wasn't from Brian at all.

those are trolls. Just because they have access to a computer and a
newsserver does not mean that they are Steeler fans or even football fans.
In fact, since the SB win I'd say about 10-15%% of the posts are steeler fans
and the rest are trolls/ Bengals/Pats/Ravens/Seahawks fans trying to stir
things up.

Bill, I agree with so much. And like you I stopped reading this N.S. for
the same reason. and felt like tonight to give it a chance with our new
coach.
Hell, give the man a chance. He might be all smoke and mirrors with an
opportunity he couldn't turn down. Or he just may be a coaching legend in
Steelers history?

I would like to think that the sophomoric high school crap that forced me to
leave the group a couple years ago had quit, which is why I "dipped my toes
in the water" again last night. I understand all to well about how trolls
can come in and destroy a group and this group was full of them then, I
can't imagine what is got to be after the Super Bowl victory.
What makes trolls even worse is cloning email & display name ID's to confuse
the group even more. I was flabbergasted when I saw some of the posting
that was happening last night and I guess that my Kill file will just start
growing and growing again...
I'm not sure how long I will stick around again...I hope for quite some
time, especially now that there are big things in the offing in Pittsburgh,
but if it gets as bad as it did in the past, I just won't have any reason to
come back, after all, life's just too damn short!
Now then, that being said...
Since Tomlin has decided to keep LeBeau as the DC, will we be keeping the
3-4 or will we be switching to the 4-3, or will it some type of bastardized
3-4/4-3 Tampa2 scheme...it seems to me that we don't...
