All-Time NFL Standings as of 2007, Regular Season + Post-Season = Overall Standings

Author: observer
Date: May 22, 2008 20:41

---

Recently, I discovered the NFL has great all-time
records for the 32 NFL teams, as of 2004, -but-
for reasons unknown, the NFL has not updated
that information since 2004.

Also, for some reason the NFL historical records
seem to be stuck in 2006, thus far.

Oh well, from working on another post, I got inter-
ested in what the overall Regular Season + Post-
Season standings would be, as of 2007, and as
such, those standings are presented below.

This post has been made to alt.sports.football.pro
and to the top -4- teams' newsgroups:

Looks like Tui is coming back

Author: The Shadow
Date: May 22, 2008 17:11

http://www.ibabuzz.com

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer

Marques Tuiasosopo watched practice on the field with the Raiders
Thursday at their organized team activity, renewing friendships and
spending a lot of time with quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo.

Coach Lane Kiffin said he couldn’t comment about the visit, but said
some information could be forthcoming later in the day.

Tuiasosopo was the No. 3 quarterback for the New York Jets last season
behind Chad Pennington and Kellen Clemens, signing a one-year contract
after leaving the Raiders as a free agent.

If Tuiasosopo were indeed to return, it would initially be to compete
for the No. 3 quarterback job behind JaMarcus Russell and Andrew Walter.

It’s worth noting, however, that the current offensive system run by the
Raiders is much more line with his skills than the play-action dropback
systems instituted by Norv Turner and later Art Shell.

Oakland Raiders-San Francisco 49ers ‘rivalry’ one for the fans

Author: The Shadow
Date: May 22, 2008 16:46

http://mvn.com

By Patrick Patterson

The Raider Nation has a passionate hatred for the San Francisco 49ers,
and the feeling is mutual from Niner fans. The two fan bases have a
strong mutual revulsion to one another, but it is impossible to consider
it a rivalry between two teams who have only played 11 meaningful games
in 48 years.

To Raider fans, the 49er fans are a bunch of red and gold wearing
pansies who sip their expensive wines with brie and golf clap every time
something good happens for the Niners at “Windlestick.” They are the
ones that will turn to a seat mate at the two minute warning and ask,
“pardon me, would you have any grey poupon?”

To Niner fans, the Raider Nation is a bunch of crazy thugs that would
just as soon kill you as look at you, or at least are wanna-bes to that
role. In fact in the mind of Niner fans, the only Raider fans on the
west side of the bay are in residence at San Quentin, and the rest of of
the Nation is on parole, or trying to be rappers.

Oakland Raiders Fans Should Stop Hating on Stuart Schweigert

Author: The Shadow

by Rob Calonge

It's just too dang easy! It really is. Instead of watching the game, or
in some cases re-watching the game, you can easily rely on a
SportsCenter highlight to determine your viewpoint about a team, game,
play, or player.

In some cases, such as former Raider Tyler Brayton getting caught
kneeing punk Jeremy Stevens in the family jewels on prime time, these
mini-clips can make a player look completely different than what they
truly are. In Brayton's case, the mild mannered, hard-working defensive
end that rarely made highlight-reel plays was determined to be the
prototypical Raider hoodlum, which couldn't be further from the truth.

In the case of Stuart Schweigert, these mini-clips can make you look
like an awfully bad football player. Whether it was a Ladanian Tomlinson
touchdown run, a Tony Gonzalez touchdown catch, or any of Denver's
running backs dragging him for ten more yards, Raider Nation and the
haters both looked at him as the culprit for the big momentum shift.

US War Pigs Rape US Female Troops

US War Pigs Rape US Female Troops

This is what the U.S. military is about. It is steeped in anti-woman
attitudes,
it is a part of training and Capitalist military attittude. These pigs
rape
their fellow GIs everyday, like it was a prison shower (U.S. prisons
are rape
centers too, not so in Canada and Europe). If these men do that to
their own
side with a wink and a nod from higher ups, think what they do to
Afghanis,
Iraqis, or any of the numerous other countries the U.S. has troops in
the
field.

OT: Santa Cruz Wildfires: Any Info???

Author: Arkansan_Raider

Okay, so there's precious little info other than "OMG, it's a FIRE!!!!!"

Can anyone pinpoint on a map where this fire is?

I graduated from SLVHS in Felton and lived in Felton, Ben Lomond and
Boulder Creek and I have friends in that area.

I also lived in Crapitola, Santa Cruz and Aptos, but it doesn't look
like it's threatening there...

Raiders’ Schweigert was too easy to blame

Author: The Shadow
Date: May 22, 2008 02:51

http://www.realfootball365.com

by Anthony Carroll

The Oakland Raiders released a fan favorite this week. A fan’s favorite
target, that is.

On Tuesday, the Raiders informed free safety Stuart Schweigert that his
services would no longer be needed in Oakland. A third-round pick of the
team in 2004, the 6-foot-2 defender started in 42 games with the silver
and black before his release. Twenty-six of those nods came over the
past two seasons.

For every start, there have been twice as many complaints.

Schweigert was known in his college years as a playmaker. Not only was
he a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award in each of his last three seasons
at Purdue, but he shattered Rod Woodson’s school record of 11 career
interceptions by six. The hopes were high when Oakland took him 67th
overall four years ago. Though, when it didn’t pan out, fans were the
first to call for Schweigert’s head.

“He can’t tackle.” “He’s bad with angles.” “He’s soft.” “He’s late in
coverage.” “He can’t hit.”
