I'd rather cheer my coach, and team, than stab him in the back. I am
the anti Ritchie but understand his decision.
Just a month ago I was thoroughly pleased with the Jets.
Last 4 games have been a disaster. Disasters are unacceptable.
But it doesn't mean I'll villify my coach. He was bold and successful
chasing Favre and at 8-3. Since then the pass defense fell apart and
then the run defense. There was no excuse for the offensive collapse.
Does that equate to termination? Maybe. But I'll be damned if I'm
going to stab the kid coach who is learning on the job. Maybe he did
a halfway okay job when it comes down to it.

And why do we have to have a coach who is learning on the job and is
making decisions even a high school coach wouldn't make. The last time
Seattle needed a HC, they got Mike Holbmgren, so why do we have to
accept less?

First of all, learning on the job is whey they have high school coaches,
assistant high school coaches.
