I've been following a thread over on the Denver Fox affiliate website
and apparently the police are investigating the wrong bar where a
confrontation/altercation/argument started this whole mess.

In a police press conference, DPD representative Sonny Jackson reported
that they were investigating people who were at Safari, which is a
Latino gay/lesbian/bisexual bar well north of where the shooting
occurred, not even the vicinity of where the crime occurred.
The Denver Post, on the other hand, reported last week (12/28/2006)
that Darrent (with other Denver Broncos Tatum Bell, D.J. Williams, and
Brandon Marshall along with Denver Nuggets J.R. Smith and DerMarr
Johnson) ACTUALLY hosted a New Years Eve party at a club called "The
Shelter". The party was themed "Safari New Year's Eve bash at The
Shelter". (
