Celtics locked up a playoff spot and probably home court through the
playoffs by winning the season series 2-1 over the Pistons.
The Pistons were playing the back end of a back-to-back set on the
heels of an eight-day Western road swing, while the Celtics had been
off for three days. On top of that, because of the snowstorm Tuesday
night, the Pistons had to change airports (from Pontiac-Oakland to
Detroit Metro) and didn't get to their hotel in Boston until after 3
a.m. Wednesday.
While they won't use that as an excuse, you could just tell that the
Celitcs, especially KG and Perkins, had more energy than anyone on the
Pistons' team. Celtics jumped out to a 14 point lead and never really
looked back. Pistons didn't help themselves by shooting only 36.4%%
and being out rebounded 50-38.

There isn't enough of excuses in that composite of yours.
The Pistons are far to deep to have fatigue be a factor.
Again they were out coached.
All Saunders had to do was alternate Prince and Maxiel on Paul Pierce.
Yah keep fresh defensive legs on him and long arms.
KG and Sheed contend, best man wins, yah can live with that.
Rip , Chauncy and Dyss toss in most of the points.
And when Baby Boy enters the game, either Dyss or Sheed simply exploit
him, he can't get off his feet!
Celtics don't have enough horses in the barn, they shouldn't ever beat
the Pistons.
We should have ran them to death!

your pick.

They were not.

Maxiel cannot guard Pierce besides Pierce was nearly a non-factor in
the game. It was KG and Perkins that did all the damage.

I gave you a simple way to absolutely defeat Boston with our current
roster repeatedly.
You choose to make it difficult. That's typical of white male
thinking....if ya' don't have a bomb ya' don't know how to win a war.
That's why you're losing in Iraq as well.
All the weapons at your disposal and you can't secure handful of rebels
in the sands....

It depends on whether he was fantasizing he was Reggie Johnson, Anita
Darling, or the captain of a UFO.

Well that sinks it. You have without a doubt proven to this
newsgroup, and maybe the whole world, that you have an IQ and
understanding of the world that only a mother armadillo could be proud
of.
