Some have mentioned Isiaha Thomas... Not going to happen. Bill Davidson and
Thomas are like oil and water. Also Dumars and Thomas are not as tight as
people think.

Dumars was sleeping with the enemy back in the day...

If Dumars wants to get fired in the next couple of years he'll hire
Thomas.
Does anyone in his right mind even think about Thomas as a viable
coach/GM candidate?

Curry would have little more support than Saunders did. How the hell
can he command respect when these guys are the former players he just
finished playing along side of a few years ago....

Nate McMillion did that with the Sonics.

How about that Joe Dumars? He fired his coach, then made bigger news at the
press conference.
Dumars said he will try to shake up his core, a surprisingly bold statement
that was intended to send a message to the rest of the league: Call me.
Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace are most likely to go. Rip Hamilton and
Antonio McDyess are most likely to stay. Tayshaun Prince falls somewhere in
between. I will explain all that in a second. But first, a word about the
coach:
Michael Curry is the heavy favorite to be the Pistons

Isn't Mcdyess like 35 or something? I cannot see them giving him a long term
contract.

33. He is starting a two year extension, a couple of weeks younger than
'Sheed and half the price.

These guys aren't the Sonics.
These Pistons have ego problems and need a coach who's career is above
their own.
Laimbeer has what four rings? Two with Pistons, two with the Shock! He
can look at any player on this team and say you haven't accomplished
what I've done in this league or with this game.
Plus, Curry was an assistant this season, he's as much to blame as Flip
happens to be.
And BTW, the Sonics didn't win a title with Nate in drivers seat either.
