Laimbeer is insulted and he should be.

Laimbeer has had a fine basketball career in the NBA, overcome physical
deficits (can't run fast, couldn't jump well etcc) but he became a joint
force in this league. Yet his first year joining the Pistons he elevated
their interest and in the short years after made them sternly
competitive along with little big man Isaiah Thomas. Bill could rebound
and trigger outlet passes, played excellent position defense, and had a
more than adequate jump shot to go along with a boastering bellowing
never say die/quit attitude. He won two titles with the Pistons as a
player and after retiring won two more championships with Detroit's own
womens basketball team the Shock. But the true SHOCK is why hasn't
Davison and Dumars given Billy the opportunity to coach the talent
infected Pistons today? This current Piston roster for the last three or
four seasons shouldn't have been denied access to at least the NBA
finals those years in a row, especially considering how weak the East
cast of players and teams have been during the same period.
That window is closing slowly, and what did Joe do? He put no thought
into placing Michael (couldn't do it right) Curry in charge. I remember
a few years ago with Jalen Rose was lighting Curry up and me an my boy
were on Rose's nuts as Phd says, then Curry came over upset and
asked..."could we show him some of that same love"... to which we ...

Got a quote?
Has he resigned from the Shock to pursue a NBA job?

Ya' don't have to resign from a Shock job to coach in the NBA. Isaiah
tried to lure Bill to NY when he was under contract and felt it could
have easily been done.

The WNBA is a nice league but obviously the coaches use the light simply
to get into the NBA when a job is available. And I"m sure no owner
would seek to hold em' back! If worst came to worst the NBA team would
simply buy out the sought after coaches contract, what do they make in
the WNBA anyway, 10,000 dollars a year?

I said is he so insulted he resigned? Same owner. Why work for someone that
insults you when he would obviously (to you) be snatched up by a NBA team.

Zeke never actually offered the job to him. Just made noises and that was 3
years ago. Knicks changed coaches a couple of times since.
He was also considered when they hired Flip instead. Guess Joe decided it
was not a mistake to leave him with the Shock...

Why not? The nba is usually hiring coaches in the middle of the wnba season,
why would an owner want to throw away a season by letting his head coach/GM
walk? Why would Laimbeer do that to the owner?

Not true. If that would have been done, Isaiah would have been
charged under league rules with tampering.

Davidson and Dumars could make it happen if they wanted to....the
question is why not?

Bill's got way more credentials, rings, wins and respect than Curry.

How the hell did Curry get this job when players like Mark Aguire, Herb
Williams, Patrick Ewing, etc.. have been assistants for years, they
never got the call and they shouldn't have. If Curry was worthy then he
should have put a bug in Saudners ear and been part of the demise the
team experienced this season... Ya'll don't hear me!!!
