Quite a game by Tayshaun -- career high in points (34) and tied a
career high in rebounds (12). Chauncey played well too. Hayes showed
some potential, as did Afflalo.
Of course, it's hard to gauge
-- Miami was without Wade, and still is
trying to fit some pieces together, and we were without Rip (family
situation?). Much as I don't like him, Ricky Walker looked good.
Smush Parker didn't make me think we should have kept him though.
Still, a road win against a playoff team is nothing to sneeze at.--Joe

I'm sure you meant Ricky Davis, not Ricky Walker (no such player).
He's always been a good shooter no matter where he's played. His
problem has always been he's a me first player and doesn't really know
the meaning of team.

Oops, yeah. That's what I get for posting after watching a game and
having a drink or two.

Wow! A medical miracle. No wonder he didn't want to travel with the
team. :)

Sheed didn't dominate Dwight Howard.
From the jump ball Howard was the superior at the center position and
Sheed would have been in for one hell of a long night had the young
stallion not got that first bogus foul where he supposedly pushed off to
get a rebound.
That early foul made the kid timid and upset his adrenelin. The first
three minutes of play it was like Sheed wasn't even on the floor, Howard
crushed him.
And Sheed only blocked two of Howard's shots the third block was on
someone else. BTW the one block was simply loathing because had Howard
not tossed up the shot he'd have been called for three seconds.
Sheed's not a center, calm down, there still has to be a solution for
that five spot. Nazr showed promise there in fact. Overall it was a
good win over the Magic but then they havn't really contested the
Pistons in the last nine meetings.
They don't match up well against us.

If the truth is that one early foul kills a player, even a ticky tack one,
then I think the only conclusion is that the guy is a head case.
I think the reality is that Howard is a pro who won't get freaked by one
call, but Wallace adjusted.

If Howard was "superior" how many of Wallace's shots did he block?
