Few Question Marks

Will Billups finally get his act together? He's been playing more like a
fullback than a quarterback, and they need him to drive and dish. He's
also got to initiate earlier ball movement and get the ball up the floor
before Philly can set up its defense.

If McDyess isn't at full strength, who's going to take up the slack on
rebounding?

Can Hayes get his shot down? They need a guy who can hit from 18+ feet out
to spread out Philly's defense, and Hayes is a guy they need to look to.

Is Hamilton willing to be just Hamilton? When he starts trying to make
fancy passes or puts the ball on the floor, I wince. The team needs him to
run through and around 15 guys, leave his defenders gasping for air, and
then start shooting free as the game wears on.

Which Wallace shows up? Or more exactly, which Wallace will be there in
the 3rd quarter? This has been the key quarter for the Pistons all series,
and they have a serious need for Sheed.

Prince was incredible, although the rest of the team gets credit for
finding him in motion and letting him get easy points up close. His
defense has been very strong, too, and I'm hoping he keeps up the
intensity, which has been inconsistent in the last couple of years of
playoffs.

Billups didn't have a great game again, but he was a bit more aggressive
about going to the basket, and he was more agressive setting up the
offense early in the shot clock. He's got to find his range, though, or
else the Pistons won't make it a whole lot farther.

When Hamilton started consistently running to open space inside the three
point line and shooting without dribbling, Philly was seriously hurt.
When he stays true to his role, you can see the other team's heads start
swiveling trying to figure out where he's headed, instead of focusing on
the ball. When he's trying to create with the ball, he gets stuck.

I think partly it's because Maxiell has been filling that role pretty well,
and I also suspect Evans would sucker him into a lot of cheap fouls.

It may not have hurt to put him into game 3 more, though he may have fouled
out pretty fast.
