Hey the Detroit Lions got on that band wagon with that impressive
preseason victory over the Bengals.
If that was any clue as to what's to come, we'll be talking Lions
football all winter instead of Pistons basketball....that is unless
Saunders is gone.

Having rooted for the Lions since the 1960s
-- yes, I'm that old --
let me say the following with complete confidence. Even if the
Pistons don't win it all next year, or even win the East, the record
of the Lions will remind us to appreciate the Pistons.--Joe

I'm old enough and have been a Lions fan since the last time they won
an NFL Championship. Unfortunately I was too young to appreciate it
and didn't really understand football as much as I do now. I've seen
the Tigers win a World Series, the Pistons an NBA Championship. Now I
want to see the Lions at least get to a Superbowl before I check out.
