Delfino refuses to rejoin Pistons

Carlos Delfino was offered a chance to come back to Detroit and said "no
thanks".
Guess he had enough of sitting in NBA purgatory.

Instead he says he'll play at home this season.
Interesting.

I can not think of another reason. =)

Raptors contract vets minimun 1.8 million gross after taxes about 1
million net.
Khimki contract (team pays the taxes) net pay 2.8 Euros. 4.8 million USD
Plus they get housing and other perks the NBA disallows.

Defino's agent gets up to 10%% net (tax paid) from the team...NBA is 4%% max
before taxes from the player.

Moscow Russia is 'home' to an Italian?

And Delfino is going to play in Russia. Which means he isn't going home.
Unless you think Argentina and Russia are in the same place.

Carlos said he was going to play at HOME...maybe the Russia thing wasn't
on the table at the time he spoke. Frankly I don't care,,,the point was
he refused to come back to Detroit because he received no playing time
and the organization sucks!

I Believe!

( I am positive making 4 times the money had nothing to do with his
decision...)

Three years/$30 million is damn close to four times to the $2.7 a
year he was making in the NBA. If it is tax free it's at least 4x if
not more

Yes.

He'd be crazy not to take it. He'll never come close to that kind of
bread in the NBA. And I don't think he'll ever be good enough in the
NBA to ern that type of money.
