If you think Iverson is the problem you're not the basketball person
I've given you credit for being.

You have a rookie coach, who has veteran assistance team. You have a
defensive minded coach who has a high octane offensive team. And
despite that we've seen what this team can do when they have it
together,,,see LA, and San Antone contest.

Curry was never a good player, and he'll prove himself to be an even
worst or at best mediocre coach. Prince at power forward is a joke.
Prince at the point is a joke. Tayshawn needs to play his natural
position. The line up alterataion should have been the insertion of
Stucky, and the benching of Rip who's been slow to get it going all
season. And we have to start playing our bigs! No reason why Brown,
Maxiell, Johnson etc...aren't getting more minutes.

  Was Ben Wallace right?

Author: Anita Darling

Ben said "ask Flip what's wrong?"

In hindsight, Wallace was right! Saunders should have been gone after
his dismal post season with the Pistons. Cleveland wasn't an adversary,
hell, not even a worthy opponent yet the struggle came from them both
times.
Had Ben received his way perhaps he would have stayed in Detroit for
even less money. He wanted Flip's ass gone, and Joe should have oblieged
him. Saunders was a complete bust here, even more so than he was in
Minn.

Should have kept that great five together Dumars, things would have been
different had you done so. Beyond all doubt with Flip out and big Ben
in we'd have gone to the finals many more times...

  Curry not the one...

Author: Anita Darling
Date: Aug 26, 2008 09:17

I'm sorry, but in further view of the upcoming season with new head
coach Mike Curry at the helm is making absolutely no sense.

The Pistons still have a good shot at getting to the NBA finals, but not
with a coach who has no experience other than losing along side Flip
Saunders. Assistant coaches are normally made head coaches when they
come from winning orgainizations. Bredon Malone, Bredon Surr etc..to
name a few in the past.
Curry's proven nothing! In fact, Pat Sullivan, Sheed's old roomy had to
be shipped in to contain him and his antics, shouldn't Curry have been
able to do that? Curry has no system of offense, he couldn't shoot as a
player, no offensive plays can he offer, he doesn't know hot spots on
the floor he wasn't a scorer.
He can't offer anything on defense, hell Jalen Rose lit him up and he's
slow as molasses.

You know I can't sit through another three years of medocricy. This
team was too good and the East was too weak for them not to have gained
at least two other championships.

We need two special people. Laimbeer and Allen Iverson...both
obtainable!
