  Garnett/McDyess rumble

Who ever is running the sound at Target Center in Minnesota is a genius.
Starts playing the theme to Payton Place and continued while Pistons
and Twolves exhanged rumble gestures after Garnett Mcdyess fracas.

The reporter, Chris Sheridan, attended both Wednesday's game and Thursday's practice and was
approached by Wallace after practice ended. In his story, Sheridan wrote of " . what appears to be a
growing note of discord and disharmony - aw, heck, let's just call it hate - between Rasheed Wallace
and coach Flip Saunders."

To support his assertion, Sheridan cited an incident from the third quarter Wednesday night when
Wallace left a timeout huddle before his teammates to sit on the scorer's table near mid-court.
Sheridan correctly noted that "Wallace has been doing this for years," but contended this incident
was different because of the way his teammates looked at him and the fact Chris Webber went to speak
to him as he sat on the scorer's table, though reporters who observed their exchange saw nothing
that indicated disharmony

"He did that all 64 games we won last year and he did that all 18 games we lost," Saunders said.
"That's just what he's always done. He's never doing anything to be disrespectful. He's not leaving
the huddle before everything is said. When he leaves the huddle, it's because we're done.

Considering we've been first round
and out the last two years I don't think
you can point to the playoffs as justification
for what he does during the season and
here we are 3 years into it now and the
team still has the same identity issues.

In his defense I'd say that in Skiles'
tenure there has been one helluva lot
of player turnover so he hasn't gone
into a season yet with the same starting
5 or the same bench.

IIRC, the Bulls left Armstrong unprotected in the expansion draft
following the 1994-95 season not because he wasn't one of the better
players on the team, but rather because he was looking for a big
contract. There were also some rumors that Jordan (recently returned to
the club) wasn't high on Armstrong. Kukoc had also showed that he could
be effective as a shooter and ball-handler, while Kerr had shown himself
a capable member of the regular rotation (if not a starter).

Here's the question. Who deserved more time on the floor: BJ Armstrong
or Steve Kerr?

Looking for a book on 1992 Dream Team

Author: cricketunes

Hey y'all,

I'm looking for this book on basketball that I read about a decade ago.
The author's name is Some Cameron or something - the book dealt with
the preparation and performance of the original NBA Dream Team in the
1992 Barcelona Olympics. I dont have the book now so I need to know the
title to purchase it online :)

thanks

Unbiased (hopefully) opinion from Bulls fans

PG Davis / Jasikevicius
Davis/McCleod

SG Richardson / Ellis, Azubuike
Richardson/Ellis, Azubuike

SF Pietrus / Jackson, Cabarkaba
Pietrus/Dunleavy, Zarko

PF Harrington / Barnes, Powell
Barnes/Murphy, Diogu

C Biedrins / Foyle, O'Bryant
Biedrens, Foyle, O'Bryant

It seems to me that GS gained a starter at 4 who is a credible threat
GS gained depth at PG and a better backup (possible starter) at SF with
championship experience as a starter, plus they shaved $30 Mill off
the payroll commitments including $8MM less next year. Where is the
negativity coming from? How can this not be a huge win for GS?
