I will say that when I was young, I didn't get the big deal about hating
one team or the other. I was just learning about baseball, and watched
both teams.
I lived a few miles from Shea, so my first games were there. My Dad was
always a Yankees fan, though, and by 1971, I had made up my mind. There
was no turning back since then.
Living away from New York, I really don't care about the "rivalry".
