  Hillary: No

Hillary: No
She’d be better than McCain, but that’s not a good reason to support
her

If there is one advantage to the protracted campaign of this
strangest of elections, it’s that we’ve gotten to see how either of
the Democratic candidates perform under fire.

This is particularly true of Barack Obama, who has had to face
hostile fire, not only from the far right, but from the sad joke that
is known as “the mainstream media” and the Clinton campaign. So far,
it’s been harsh, but not beyond the normal boundaries of roughhouse
presidential politics. Later this summer, when the right wing
smear-and-hate machine kicks in with the cheerful acquiescence of the
mainstream media, acting as an echo chamber, it will get far worse.
But both Democratic candidates have demonstrated that they can fight.

Outta the Way Cafe - lousy food, bad bands and FBI snitches

Outta the Way Cafe (Derwood, MD) has the blandest food around, but it
seems to get good reviews by the local newspapers for some reason.
They may as well give good reviews to McDonalds. There isn't much
difference except Mickey D's is much cheaper. Plus McDonalds does not
exploit the misery of US soldiers fighting in Iraq as a means of
attracting customers, not as bad as OTWC anyway. OTWC is the worst in
that regard. When Chip Berman puts up a sign that says "We support the
troops in Iraq," what he really means is "Please buy my hamburgers and
greasy french fries." The place is a dive is a dive is a dive.

RAPID CITY, S.D., May 2 (UPI) -- The mayor of Rapid City, S.D., Friday
pleaded with residents to stay home as a May blizzard closed down streets
and highways in parts of the state.

"Please, stay off the roads until the weather clears. The wind is still
gusting to 50 mph with heavy snow," said Mayor Alan Hanks. "There are very
few businesses that are going to open, so take a day off and enjoy it."

"It would hurt me not to vote," said Charles Clark, an Indianapolis
retiree. "There was a heck of a push made so blacks could vote. I know
that," he said. "But it would also be very unfair if they pushed
Barack Obama to the side."
