The Clintons will stop at *nothing* in their lust for power. Nothing.
They use scorched earth politics. They aren't going to let Toots
defeat Battleax in a fair fight. As he gets close to clinching the
nomination, it wouldn't surprise me if something devastating were
to happen to him to destroy his candidacy.
Remember the 900 FBI files? The Clintons have a history of digging
up dirt to use on people as a political weapon. Perhaps a woman
from his past will accuse him of rape. Perhaps photos of him fondling
a child will surface. Will they blackmail him into bowing out?
Or perhaps he'll wind up like Ron Brow
--killed in a suspicious
plane crash. He is doing a lot of flying around the country these
days.
Hey Obama. You'd better have your staff watch out carefully for
suspicious folks hanging around your airplane before flights.

We didn't stop that war, but may have stopped the next
Five years ago, the biggest political protest in our
history served to explode the myth of public apathy
Andrew Murray
The Guardian, London

Five years ago this week most readers of this newspaper
were making plans to go on a demonstration. More
surprisingly, just as many Daily Telegraph readers were
getting ready for the same event. For most of those who
marched against the Iraq war on February 15 2003 it was
the first time they had ever demonstrated for or
against anything in their lives. It was a protest such
as Britain had never seen before, all-embracing in its
diversity and imposing in its unity of purpose.

Baby held in locked room at airport dies
Advertiser Staff
A 14-day-old infant traveling here for heart surgery died at Honolulu
International Airport on Friday after he, his mother and a nurse were
detained by immigration officials in a locked room, a lawyer for the
boy's family said.
The Honolulu medical examiner's office yesterday identified the infant
as Michael Futi of Tafuna, American Samoa's largest village, which is
located on the east coast of Tutuila Island. Autopsy findings have
been deferred.
According to police, the child died at 5:50 a.m. It is unknown why
immigration officials detained the mother, the nurse and the child.
Scott Ishikawa, a spokesman for the state Department of
Transportation, said the child went into respiratory failure while in
the customs office, which is located near the baggage claims area of
the overseas terminal. Airport paramedics were called about 6:10 a.m.,
he said.

Feb. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Japan's economy grew 3.7 percent last quarter,
twice the forecast, as exports to Asia and emerging markets helped
companies weather the U.S. slowdown.
Gross domestic product in the three months ended Dec. 31 accelerated
from a 1.3 percent expansion in the third quarter, the Cabinet Office
said today in Tokyo. The median estimate of 39 economists surveyed by
Bloomberg News was for annualized growth of 1.7 percent.
The Nikkei 225 Stock Average had the biggest gain this month after the
report and an unexpected increase in U.S. retail sales allayed concern
that the world's two biggest economies may slip into a recession.
Bonds fell as investors pared bets that Toshihiko Fukui's successor as
Bank of Japan chief will have to cut interest rates.
``The person happiest with this data has to be Mr. Fukui,'' said David
Cohen, director of Asian forecasting at Action Economics in Singapore.
``This certainly suggests that as long as the whole world doesn't go
over the edge, Fukui's model of continued modest growth is still
valid.''

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) -- Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito Jr. has
convicted ''The Sopranos'' of spreading what he says are stereotypes
about Italian-Americans.
During a visit to Rutgers University on Wednesday, Alito complained
that the hit HBO television drama not only associated
Italian-Americans with the Mafia, but New Jerseyans, as well.

Yeah, the left wing geniuses brought us such great things as
Communism, abortion on demand, a 50%% divorce rate, gay marriage, and
now open borders to invading hordes to take over the country.
