Interview with Bat Ye'or: After Saturday (Israel), comes Sunday

Bat Ye'or is a pseudonym (meaning the Daughter of Nile) used by Gisčle
Littman, née Orebi. She was born in Egypt to an Italian father and
French mother, and currently lives in Britain. As a historian she
specializes in the history of non-Muslims in the Middle East. She is
the author of eight books, including Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis
(2005), Islam and Dhimmitude: Where Civilizations Collide (2001), The
Decline of Eastern Christianity: From Jihad to Dhimmitude (1996), and
The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians Under Islam (1985). She has provided
briefings to the United Nations and the U.S. Congress. Bat Ye'or was
interviewed by Pamela Geller.

I spent the most extraordinary afternoon with Bat Ye'or. I am
overwhelmed. Diminutive, powerful, clear - I hold Ye'or most dear. Her
bravery is daunting. The difficulty she faced is difficult to grasp.

Gaza's tiny Christian community is keeping a low profile this
Christmas, traumatized by the killing of a prominent activist in the
wake of Hamas' takeover of the coastal territory.

Few Christmas trees are on display, churches are holding austere
services and hundreds of Christians hope to travel to the moderate-
controlled West Bank to celebrate the holiday in Bethlehem. Many say
they don't plan on returning to Gaza.

"We have a very sad Christmas," said Essam Farah, acting pastor of
Gaza's Baptist Church, which has canceled its annual children's party
because of the grim atmosphere.

About 3,000 Christians live in Gaza, an overwhelmingly conservative
Muslim territory of 1.5 million people. It has been virtually cut off
from the world and its residents driven deeper into poverty since the
June takeover by Hamas, which is considered a terrorist organization
by Israel and the United States.

A Doctor of Atheism faced an angry mob of people holding torches and
wielding pitchforks Sunday, accused of spamming various Usenet
newsgroups with repetitive off-topic posts.

The mob ordered AthD Yang to "get the fuck out and stay the fuck out"
of several newsgroups However Dr Yang, who claims his morality is
vaunted, told reporters he had no intention of complying.

Meanwhile, a second patient with a knee injury had his skull opened.
Man, if the Hollywood writers wanna stay on strike, all the Hollywood
Jews need to do is visit Mother Africa for stories that the most
creative writer couldn't fabricate --- and they'd be true!!!!!!!

Brain tumour sufferer has surgery on kneeFrom correspondents in Dar es

TANZANIAN authorities say it was "gross negligence" that led to a
mix-in which a brain tumour sufferer had his knee operated on and a
knee patient underwent brain surgery.

On November 8, surgeons at Tanzania's main Muhimbili Hospital opened
the skull of Emmanuel Didas to remove a non-existent brain tumour
while Emmanuel Mgaya, who had the tumour, underwent knee surgery.

An health ministry official report faulted doctors and nursed for
"gross negligence'' that led to the blunder.

Mr Didas is in India having further treatment, where he is reportedly
doing well, but Mr Mgaya died four days after a second operation.

EASTON | The Bethlehem Township father who was busted for dealing
drugs with his wife and teenage son is suing the Northampton County
Office of Children and Youth for $71 million and custody of his three
children.

In a lawsuit filed Dec. 4, Frank J. Capozzi, 50, claims the agency
isolated him from his children, who are at least 17, 11 and 9, and
denied his parental rights. Capozzi also alleges Children and Youth
ignored his demand that the children continue to be raised Roman
Catholic.
