That's mostly not true. I'm sure the Republican party gets "something"
out of it, though. Enron was a big party donor. You could probably
look it up on C-Span, or through the FEC.

Actually, you can get excellent, in-depth economic coverage through the
WSJ. Just stay away from their op-ed page, though.

Texas Bigot Holds Pig Races Next to Mosque Site
--'Texas Spirited' means ignorant racist spirit.
The Associated Press, December 30, 2006
http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/12/30/mosque.pig.ap/index.html
KATY, Texas (AP) -- A man unhappy with an Islamic association's plans
to build a mosque next to his property has staged pig races as a
protest during afternoon prayers.
Craig Baker, 46, sold merchandise and grilled sausages Friday for
about 100 people who showed up in heavy rain. He insisted he wasn't
trying to offend anyone with the pigs, which are forbidden from the
Muslim diet.
"I am just defending my rights and my property," Baker said. "They
totally disrespected me and my family."
Muslims don't hate pigs, they just don't eat them, said engineer Kamel
Fotouh, president of the 500-member Katy Islamic Association in this
Houston suburb.
"I don't care if he races, roasts or slaughters pigs," said Yousef
Allam, a spokesman for the group.

Some were famous back then. Which makes me suspect this is an urban
myth.

Here is the PERFECT example of liberal hypocrisy.
Karol Mandera is a shortwave "ham broadcaster" from Vancouver, BC. He
IS a Bush-hating socialist in EVERY aspect of the word!
But just like all other liberals who point fingers at conservatives,
it's the liberals who are generally the homophobes, racists,
anti-Semites and bigots.
Please visit this website for unaltered and unedited spewing of one of
the most hate-filled men of our time:
http://ve7kfm.com
And as a U.S. citizen whose grandparents emigrated from Canada, I am
ashamed that this man calls himself "Radio Canada".
His rantings are heard worldwide on shortwave "ham" radio on 14.275 MHz
upper sideband.
Thank you.
Willie

West: Will 2007 be "The Year of Shutting Up About Islam"?
If CAIR et al get their way, it will. Of course, for many liberal and
conservative media outlets, we are already there. "A question for
2007," by the ever-perceptive Diana West:
...Our elites seem not to have the slightest clue how devastating
such a change, which comes under the rubric of Islamization, would be
to our Judeo-Christian-rooted civilization. Indeed, it is increasingly
clear that they don't know the difference between "an Islamic order"
and Judeo-Christian-rooted civilization - or even that there is a
difference.

Gee, wonder why people think all the Liberals do is make things up,
lie, cheat, steal etc.
Can't figure out why.
