The survivors' stories leave no doubt: Guantánamo makes us all less safe
Official accounts reveal with chilling clarity that acts carried out in
the name of the war on terror have backfired dreadfully
by George Monbiot
The Guardian
Tuesday May 13 2008.
When we learned last week that Abdallah Salih al-Ajmi had blown himself
up in Mosul in northern Iraq, the US government presented this as a
vindication of its policies. Al-Ajmi was a former inmate of the
detention camp at Guantánamo Bay. The Pentagon says his attack on Iraqi
soldiers shows both that it was right to have detained him and that it
is dangerous ever to release the camp's prisoners. On the contrary, it
shows how dangerous it was to put them there in the first place.
Al-Ajmi, according to the Pentagon, was one of at least 30 former
Guantánamo detainees who have "taken part in anti-coalition militant
activities after leaving US detention". Given that the majority...

Ostracism and boycott are such closely related social tactics that one
is often considered a form of the other.
on Sunday 11 May 2008
by Wendy McElroy
The current disillusionment with politicians -- which may be Clinton's
true legacy -- will be positive only if it becomes disillusionment with
the political means itself. Otherwise, people will continue to look
primarily to the 'State' for solutions instead of to 'Society.'
State v. Society

(en) US, Howard Zinn is an Anarchist [who some time do vote] – An
Interview by ZIGA VODOVNIK with Howard Zinn on Anarchism
Date Tue, 13 May 2008 11:30:23 +0300
Howard Zinn, 85, is a Professor Emeritus of political science at Boston
University. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1922 to a poor immigrant
family. He realized early in his youth that the promise of the “American
Dream“, that will come true to all hard-working and diligent people, is
just that -- a promise and a dream. During World War II he joined US Air
Force and served as a bombardier in the European Theatre. This proved to
be a formative experience that only strengthened his convictions that
there is no such thing as a just war. It also revealed, once again, the
real face of the socio-economic order, where the suffering and sacrifice
of the ordinary people is always used only to higher the profits of the
privileged few.

Military analysts named in Times exposé appeared or were quoted more
than 4,500 times on broadcast nets, cables, NPR
Summary: A New York Times article detailed the connection between
numerous media military analysts and the Pentagon and defense
industries, reporting that "the Bush administration has used its control
over access and information in an effort to transform" media military
analysts "into a kind of media Trojan horse -- an instrument intended to
shape terrorism coverage from inside the major TV and radio networks." A
Media Matters review found that since January 1, 2002, the analysts
named in the Times article -- many identified as having ties to the
defense industry -- collectively appeared or were quoted as experts more
than 4,500 times on ABC, ABC News Now, CBS, CBS Radio Network, NBC, CNN,
CNN Headline News, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, and NPR.

Paulville? Count Ron Paul Out
May 12, 2008
(The Politico)
The founders of Paulville recently announced the purchase of the first
50 acres in West Texas on which they plan to build one of their "gated
communities containing 100 percent Ron Paul supporters and or people
that live by the ideals of freedom and liberty."
One man who won't be moving there anytime soon: Ron Paul.
"I don't think that's the solution," says the still-running Republican
presidential candidate. "You want to spread out and be as pervasive as
possible."
The driving idea behind Paulville -- that likeminded lovers of liberty
should band together -- is not a new one. In 2003, thousands of
libertarians vowed to move to New Hampshire as part of the Free State
Project. Paul was no more sanguine on that effort, saying that
population spillover from Massachusetts had overwhelmed it.

[This guy's just what anarchists need by way of a new public image.--DC]
Pinney also described himself as an anarchist -- one who does not accept
the authority of government. To demonstrate his anarchistic beliefs,
Pinney never rose from his chair whenever Raccuglia entered the
courtroom as is customary. He did rise with others whenever the jury
entered or left the courtroom.

Communism is Jewish Nationalism
"The only two non-Jews in the communist conspiracy were Chambers and
Hiss...Every other one was a Jew and it raised hell with us."
Statement of President Richard Nixon in 1971, as recorded at the White
House on tape and released by the National Archives in 1999. The
reference is to Whittaker Chambers and Alger Hiss. (Sources: N.Y.
Times, Oct. 7, 1999 and Newsweek, Oct. 18, 1999, p. 30)
'Peoples' Revolution Really? Composition of the Russian Ruling Class
after 1918
http://tinyurl.com/6rtl6f
Jewish Professor Arno Mayer of Princeton in his important book, Why
Did the Heavens Not Darken? states that the German invasion of Russia
was carried out with the intention to eradicate Bolshevik (Soviet
Communist) ideology. The Germans were hardly the only ones in the West
to believe that, "Soviet Russia is a dictatorship of Jewry."
On Feb. 8, 1920 a young British writer made a similar observation in
the Illustrated Sunday Herald:
