BIG virus coming
I checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up for this virus!
I checked snopes.com, this morning, and it is for real!!
Get this E-mail message sent around to your contacts ASAP.
PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS! You
should be alert during the next several weeks. Do not open any message
with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD,' regardless of who sent it to
you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole
hard disc (C drive) of your computer. This virus will be received from
someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the
reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is
better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and
open it. If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to
you by a friend, do not open it.! This includes all cards, too. Shut
down your computer immediately.

While it was a very good idea to post this, according to McAfee's
site, it's a 'hoax'. Nevertheless, it's always best to simply delete
any attachments that bear an .exe extension be it sent by friend or...

I'll revise my statement about sending and receiving files to and from
friends. I do, but on a very limited basis where anything I send is
virus scanned and safe. My SHORT list of friends know me and I...

had a similar situation when my niece, across country, started sending
me all those cutesy things that ran across her screen everyday; always
as attachments, never cut and paste. problem, to me, was, she'd send it
to ALL her friends, never with bcc, but with addys in view for all to
see. and they'd send it to their friends, etc. put a stop to that real

SSDD here. Not only do they see my addy, some of those who reply to a
multiple addressee message use the 'reply all' rather than the reply
to sender button. So I end up getting their replies too. Such...

It's ironic that as we discuss viruses, one invaded my computer last
