Evening ASPers, ML here and its Wed.AM for me here in Beijing, Tuesday
PM for you. Kim's meal description for Pre-Dinner smokes sure did not
help much [L0L :)] as I am faced with a whole different set of meal
choices this morning.
Foggy here, its as humid and as grey as its been in months.
But Beijing is BJ. It changes your papers say?? but underneath is all,
it does NOT change.
Plane was tossed all over the place over Mongolia, worst I have had in
years, and most of crew I chatted with, agreed. The Lady First Officer
who brought that 747 in--in "0" visbility, obscured fog and rain here
at Beijing did a splendid job...absolutely amazing.Could not see a
thing till we touched down. So this morning, er, sorry, your evening,
and before the late night guys come in [and THIS time I may join them...

Hey ML. It's Bayou Morning in the Design Berlin. Feeling sad about ASP
today. We've sunk ourselves into another flame fest, and people I
thought were above it are mired in it as much as I am. A sad day for the
group. Nothin' on the side right now, Wagner on the WinAmp. I was
listening to about the last third of the third act of Die Walkurie, and
skipped back to the beginning, to hear "Ride of the Valkyries" once
again. I wish I could get Apocalypse Now out of my head when I hear it,
but it's pretty hard to do. Hope you're doing well in Beijing. Don't eat
the silkworms! :-)

Beijing duck sounds great to me, ML ! Be safe and do find great food when
you can. It is there, no doubt. I have no doubt about your ability to have
great smokes, either ! Keep us posted.

Howdy ASP!
Tonight is GLP Blackpoint in a Dunhill Shell Canadian while I try to
avoid that proposal I am supposed to be writing.

Evenin'/mornin' ML and everybody else regardless of time zone.
Just finished a small bowl of 3 yr. Mat. Va. in a little bent Pete. As
is true of most of my Petes, it smoked very well, but the vulcanite
leaves something to be desired.
Nice to see you able to stay in touch, ML. Hope your stint overseas
goes well.
Bob
Just another nice basic flake.

Smoking this time ML, ASP. It is Mick McQuaid's Plug [thanks again Steven]
in a Ligne Bretagne natural rusticated apple with a smooth stem. I really
enjoy this tobacco. It gives me most of the dark fired Va. flavors I'm
looking for without the strong nico buzz. No complaints on the sinister nico
blends, it's just nice to have the flavor in a bigger bowl, for a change of
pace.
