  Gibson on tape

Author: tad
Date: May 17, 2008 21:54

Er, ehm . . . It never came to life for me until I heard him read it.

The shuriken had always fascinated him, steel stars with nice
sharp points. The chrome stars held his gaze, their centers stamped
with dragons or yin-yang symbols; they caught the street's neon and
twisted it. And it came to Case that these were the stars under which
he voyaged, his destiny spelled out in a constellation of cheap
chrome . . .

Gibson was never better to me. And his st0ner inflection while
reading it really fits. Say what you want, he's a real paperback
writer.
