How about, "Sinbad was a sailor, his father was one, too, when Sinbad
went to you-ran-eight, his father went to p--." (I could make up ten
or fifteen more of these.) Toci

Helen had a steamboat; steamboat had a bell.
Helen took some dynamite and blew it all to
Helen had a steamboat; steamboat had a bell.
Etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseum

I would never refuse a gift or ask for a gift receipt. I appreciate the
thought and don't want to hurt the giver's feelings.
Depending on what it is on who gave it to me I would regift (if I knew of
somebody who would appreciate it), give it to Toastmasters for a raffle or
donate it to charity. I don't toss out anything that I think somebody might
want or find useful. I believe in recycling.
