My favorite song of the second week of May,

Author:
Date: May 12, 2008 08:08

My favorite song of the second week of May has a special meaning for me
and Rosa. May the 12th will mark 48 years of marriage with expectations
of more happiness to come.

This song is one of my all time favorites and is sung by the late Johnny
Cash. "I Walk the Line", written by Johnny Cash, outlines about all
that a person can ask of their lifetime mate.

You can hear it on you-tube. I have listed for your entertainment two
versions of the song. One when Johnny was younger and one in this more
mature days. You you can detect changes in his voice over the years.
Age does take it's toll.

The younger man version...

The older man version....

Both are still very good in my estimation. I cannot recall any song he
sung that I did not like. I hope you enjoy his songs as much as I do.

The words if you like to follow them as they are sung...

  A Woman's Poem

Author:
Date: May 11, 2008 15:13

A Woman's Poem

He didn't like the casserole

And he didn't like my cake.

He said my biscuits were too hard...

Not like his mother used to make.

I didn't perk the coffee right

He didn't like the stew,

I didn't mend his socks

The way his mother used to do.

I pondered for an answer

I was looking for a clue.

Then I turned around and smacked him on the head...

Like his mother used to do.

Please excuse Gloria from Jim today. She is administrating.

Carlos was absent yesterday because he was playing football.
He was hurt in the growing part.

Megan could not come to school today because she has been
bothered by very close veins.

Please excuse Ray Friday from school. He has very loose

Please excuse Mary for being absent yesterday. She was in
bed with gramps.

Please excuse Tommy for being absent yesterday. He had
