well, im about to leave for school, but i did an experiment, and it's
all pointing to cold solder joints right now..

I put in my original Sonic CD disc last night, after letting the Sega
CD be on for 4 hours, I played the some of the game, and it was working
great.. So, I reset the console, and let it continue to play demos by
itself.. I left the Sega CD on last night, 9 hours later, it's still
playing the games, and loading things.. So I turned it off for 10
minutes, and now it hangs at Checking Disc again..

so HEAT seems to have something to do with it.. As long as the unit is
WARM, it works fine..
