Clothing optional beaches are better because you can go skinny dipping
and not get tan lines. These two reasons make clothing optional
beaches infinitely better. Skinny dipping is way better than wearing
a swimsuit and you look way better without tan lines. You have an
unalienable right to choose to wear what you want to wear and this
includes wearing nothing.
Given that people are highly likely to want to wear nothing at a beach
or anytime when swimming, and based on this right to choose to wear
whatever you want to wear, we should have more clothing optional
beaches and swimming areas everywhere in the world.
Going naked is also not a gay thing. You may see a naked man at a
nude beach, but he's more likely heterosexual than homosexual.

I can vouch for that! I met one of my favorite girlfriends at
Black's Beach in La Jolla, California!

You also don't have to walk around in a dripping pair of trunks.
You also don't have to worry about jellyfish swimming up your trunks.
You also don't get grating sand in your crotch.
You also get to take girl-watching to a whole new level.

I wish that were true. But keep this in mind. There are no federal laws
(in the USA) concerning public nudity. Seek out federal land, post a
warning sign, and you're completely within your rights, as long as you
are 500 yards from any public thoroghfare (road, sidewalk, etc.), or not
along the sightline of a casual glance.

A friend of mine mentioned that it is better to go to a place known for
"topless", than a nude beach. Most nudists are regular people with pot-
bellies, sagging tits and fat butts. Nudism is not about the visual
aspect, in fact most of the time it feels like a human zoo. Every now and
then, though...

Agreed! I've been there often, too, since 1977. But in the last few
years, I haven't. Do you know if San Diego's City Council ever made it
OFFICIALLY "clothing optional" again, or is it still the case that the cops
simply don't come down there and hassle people... do you know?
Every now and then, a golf match is televised at Torrey Pines, and
I think about how interesting it would be if the camera on that blimp
zoomed in on the beach below... :)
